MusicID is proud to sponsor the 2021 MEIEA Virtual Summit, to be held May 17 – 18, 2021.

On Tuesday, 18 May, at 10:00 EDT (GMT -4:00), MusicID will host a one-hour discussion panel, “Data, Pedagogy and the Music Industries: Challenges and Opportunities.”

The panel will be moderated by our colleague, pop music scholar Craig Hamilton (Birmingham City University and The Harkive Project). Joining Dr. Hamilton to discuss the roles, demands, and potential areas for growth of data science in their diverse fields are:

Eduard Arriaga (associate professor in Global Languages and Cross-Cultural Studies, University of Indianapolis)

Robert Fink (professor of musicology and music industry, University of California, Los Angeles)

Mathew Flynn (lecturer in music industry, University of Liverpool)

Joanna Love (associate professor of music, University of Richmond)
