MusicID Digital Research Fellowship 2021
Call for Proposals
Deadline: August 1, 2021
MusicID is pleased to announce its fourth annual Digital Research Fellowship in popular music studies.
Awarded competitively to scholars at any phase of their careers, the fellowship is designed to support popular music research and data storytelling that utilizes data to reveal new insights or reinforce prior understandings. The recipient will receive $1,000 forthwith and access to the MusicID platform for one year (all other applicants will receive access to the platform for six months). Special preference will be given to proposals that demonstrate how they will benefit from access to the MusicID platform. The recipient is expected to write a short final report at the end of their fellowship year, describing the research they conducted and their preliminary findings.
In order to be considered, interested applicants must send an anonymized, one-page research plan as a PDF to fellowship@academicrightspress.com by August 1, 2021.
The recipient will be chosen through a blind review process.
Submissions from faculty, independent scholars, and graduate students are all encouraged and welcome from applicants worldwide. All submissions must be in English.
